How to find out if Dyknow is on.
1. This way is more useful in later tips and tricks but if you just want to see if it is on in a glance use method two. Depending on when your laptop had Dyknow installed the PID (Process ID) used by Dyknow might be different. If you computer had this monitoring program in 2013 your PIDs will be randomly generated but if it was installed since 2012 and further back it will nearly always be under the PID of "Monitor". To find the PIDs (yes there are two) for laptops with randomly generated PIDs you first need to open task manager which can be done two ways, the first being Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then clicking "Start Task Manager". The second way is to open up the search bar under the windows icon on the bottom left of your screen and searching "Task Manager" and selecting "View running processes with Task Manager". Once you have Task Manager open you have to search for 2 processes with no description and name that are comprised of random letters as can be seen below in the center.
2. This way is easier to see if Dyknow is running and to get to but less useful later on. All you have to do is type "C:\Program Files\DyKnow\Client" into a Windows Explorer tab and press enter and it should take you straight to where you need to go. If this doesn't work you will have to navigate yourself there by going through C Drive into Program Files, through Dyknow and into Client. After you are there you should see the image on the left above. When Dyknow is on two new hidden exes will appear exactly the same as the ones seen in the Task Manager as can be seen on the right (Picture Coming). To Be Continued...
How to prevent a force shutdown
This is fairly simple but I am not sure if it still works. All you have to do is open a word document type something random and do NOT save it. When Dyknow starts the shutdown sequence the fact that there is unsaved word document will break the command however never click any of the prompts otherwise it may resume. It has been two years since I did this trick so I am not sure if it the same. When I test it I will add more detail.
